Animal communication with humans has fascinated people for centuries. We see it in beloved stories like Dr. Dolittle, Charlotte’s Web, and Stuart Little. Characters like Donkey from Shrek, Bagheera from The Jungle Book, and Paddington Bear show us what it might be like if animals and humans could truly understand each other.
Of course, those stories are fictional, but what if animal communication with humans were a real skill you could learn and use? Many believe it’s not magic, but a natural ability we all have the potential to develop.
I first met Olivia LaBarre several years ago. She specializes in animal communication with humans, offering remote sessions, Reiki for both people and animals, and classes for those who want to learn.
Her services help:
Olivia’s mission is beautifully stated in her own words:
“My mission is to help you cultivate soulful connections with yourself, your animal companions, and the natural world. Through these connections, we can reach a deeper understanding, uncover our own true nature, and harmonize with all that surrounds us—even the unseen and intangible, the sacred and divine. Together, we can learn to live more gracefully in the present while building a better future.”
I began my own journey into animal communication with humans more than three years ago. At the time, I had two pet pigs and a cat who had endured a difficult past. I wanted to be sure I was meeting my pigs’ needs and to help my cat feel safe and loved.
My first session with Olivia revealed details I could never have guessed—what my pets enjoyed, what bothered them, and what they hoped I would start doing. The accuracy was remarkable.
Since then, I’ve turned to Olivia whenever concerns arise. For example:
These experiences proved that animal communication with humans can strengthen bonds and improve pets’ emotional well-being.
While Olivia is an expert, she believes animal communication with humans is a skill anyone can learn. In her classes, I’ve communicated not only with my own pets but also with other students’ animals and even wild creatures.
I also practice using the book Animal Communication for Beginners. My process looks like this:
It may sound unusual, but once you’ve experienced it, you’ll understand how natural it can be.
You may never trade jokes with a donkey like in Shrek or receive spider-spun advice like in Charlotte’s Web, but animal communication with humans is real. It’s an intuitive skill that can help you understand animals more deeply, strengthen trust, and create a more compassionate bond with the living world.
Whether you work with a seasoned communicator like Olivia LaBarre or begin developing your own abilities, the potential for connection is extraordinary.
